FISD Superintendent Retiring

At the November 14, 2022 Regular Meeting of the Florence ISD Board of Trustees, Superintendent Paul Michalewicz tendered his resignation with the intention of retiring.  The board voted unanimously to accept his resignation with great appreciation for the service he has provided the district since 2015.  FISD has contracted with a search firm to assist in finding a new superintendent.  In the meantime, the goal is to have an interim superintendent in place by January 2, 2023.  We will honor Mr. Michalewicz with a public reception on December 12, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the Florence High School Cafeteria.  FISD wishes him only happiness and success in his retirement and future endeavors.
